In line with the Electricity Distribution Master Plan for Oshakati; OPE has at its cost successfully done electrification at Uupindi North and Uupindi South respectively.     Completed Projects:   Constrution of a Switching Station Extension of OPE corporate building Construction of street lights towards Industrial Area Electricity pre-paid vending station Electrification of Uupindi-North suburb Electrification of Uupindi-South suburb Erection of more than 30 high mast lights throughout Oshakati Equiping almost all streets with street lighting in Oshakati Adequate maintenance of the Oshakati Network to ensure zero power failure, even during rainy seasons and windy conditions Upgraded and strengthened the old Electricity Infrastructure of Oshakati which has led to the Elimination of Power Failures; Reliable and Affordable Continuity of Supply which is currently being enjoyed by all the residents of Oshakati connected to the grid Comprehensice meter audit to ensure a drastic reduction in technical losses Equipped 7 (seven) intersections throughout the entire Oshakati town with Traffic Lights (Robots)
