Oshakati Premier Electric (OPE) is the first asset based Namibian owned Electricity Distribution and Supply Company in Namibia. It was established during the year 2000.
  

Electricity Load Shedding 

With the current electricity shortage in Namibia and the rest of the Southern African Development Community region, load shedding has become unavoidaable.

Ploughing Back

 
OPE has since  its inception ploughed back a substantial amount to the tune of more than Fifteen Million Namibia dollars “N$15,000,000.00” to the community of Oshakati as part of its economic uplifting and social responsibility. 
Return on Investment

 
In addition to ploughing back to the community of Oshakati, OPE has also paid its shareholders a return on their investment to the tune of more than "N$21,500,000.00" Twenty One Million Five Hundred Thousand Namibia dollars by the year (2006).

Sponsorships / Corporate Social Responsibility: 

As part of its social responsibility; Oshakati Premier Electric has donated quite a substantial amount of money to schools, soccer teams, cricket teams, community activities, trade fairs but just to mention a few.
